The Church will ordain female priests when the can find scripture that allows them to do so. Popes are bound by dogma and scripture. That is why they cannot simple at a whim say now we can have female priests or homosexuals can marry. However, scripture doesnt necessarily punish either of these things.

This will never happen. Even the Venerable John-Paul II said he couldn't have changed it if he wanted to. It goes against Scripture, Tradition and Reason.

The Priest at the Altar is an alter-Christus..."another Christ" - that person cannot represent Christ at the most holy Sacrament of the Altar with the Church being His Bride if that person is a woman. That is not only wrong, scripturally and Sacramentally, but a perversion of what is meant in the Church's participation in the One True Sacrifice that Jesus offers to the Father for us.

It will never happen.

Probably not before reunion with the Orthodox. It would be a certain impediment to ending the great schism, if we decided on our own to change the rules for the Sacrament of Holy Orders.

As to the reason for male Holy Orders, Pope John Paul II explained all that in Ordinatio Sacerdotalis.

They do have female alter servers, but I don't think we'll ever have female priests. As a woman who wanted to be a priest, I'm actually ok with that.

I don't know.

The Catholic Church currently teaches:

The Lord Jesus chose men to form the college of the twelve apostles, and the apostles did the same when they chose collaborators to succeed them in their ministry.

The Church recognizes herself to be bound by this choice made by the Lord himself. For this reason the ordination of women is not possible.

With love in Christ.

You need to speak to a priest or his higher ups to see whats the "status" of that or if it is even being considered.

God does not will female priests. If He did, we'd have them.

If it was up to me I would be doing it right now. However, it isn't going to happen with this pope. Maybe the next pope will let it happen!
