So I finally quit smoking, been 2 weeks today. But my teeth have taken some damage from smoking all those years. Ive tried the reg crest white strips and they didnt work. I was looking into the White strips prfoessional you get at dental offices. I would just do it it the ol fashion way but dont have the extra 400 to spend. Any tips?

I would think that brushing with special toothpaste will not do you much good after smoking for a number of years. The yellowing isn't just stuck on the outside of the teeth. They are actually stained from the years of smoking. Your best bet would be to get the whitening done from your dentist, and then keep it up from there. Did you use the Crest White Strips for long enough? With a lot of staining, it will take a while to see results. Instead of wasting money on home remedies, just bite the bullet and get them whitened at the dentist. $400 seems high though, so shop around.

AquaFresh Extreme Clean toothpastes cleans GREAT. Maybe an Oral B or Crest electric toothbrush will help.
