I mean hell, i thought a credit card was pretty much the same as a debit.

Experts say it's better to use a credit over a debit card because if your credit card were to get stolen you would report it missing and you wouldn't be charged for what ever the other person used for it. But if someone got your pin number you wouldn't able to prove that you didn't make those charges.

Because, hopefully, you have a low limit card and keep more money in your bank account (debit card).
Do you want a thief to have access to your $500 credit limit, or your checking account, which may have how much at any given time?
I don't think the credit card company is going to let someone continue to charge over your limit without raising a red flag, so you have much less to lose by using a low dollar limit credit card.

A Credit card is easier to dispute if the transaction goes awry for some reason. If the debit card is a visa/mastercard issued debit card then their is no real difference except that, in the event that you dispute a charge, the money may be slower to credit back.

Simply because if fraudulent charges are made on your credit card, your liability is limited to $50.

Because people can steal your pin if you use it as a debit card and then access your account.

CC offer insurance if you never recieve your order, but debit card don't . CC and debit card are not the same.

credit cards are harder to have idenity theft issues, and easier to deal with any charge dissputes
