I RECENTLY MET A WOMAN WHO TOLD ME NOT TO EAT CHEESE OR USE MARGARINE ANYMORE BUT SHE DIDN'T GIVE AN EXPLAINATION.
BEFORE I MAKE CHANGES, I NEED TO FIND OUT IF BOTH CHEESE AND MARGARINE OR NO GOOD.
I USE FAT FREE MOZZARRELLA CHEESE (I AM ITALIAN, I LOVE CHEESE) AND I USE MARGARINE WITH A LOT LESS FAT IN IT, THAN REGULAR. SO, I AM WONDERING WHY ANYONE WOULD TELL ME (NOT SUGGEST TO ME) THAT THIS IS WHAT I SHOULD DO.
WOULD ANYONE HAVE ANY ANSWER THAT MIGHT SHED A LIGHT, PLEASE AND THANK YOU?

Cheese - no clue - even the low fat or reduced moisture is really good and good for you -high in calcium and all - The margarine however is a whole other story it is high in trans fats and other yucky stuff that clog the arteries and some that are down right indigestible. Being Italian using more olive oil should be no hardship and you can even blend it with butter for a smooth spread or use it alone for dressing pasta and breads it is also wonderful to cook with i adore the aroma of garlic and onion sauteing in olive oil (MMMM). My opinion ditch the margarine it's not a good heath choice but keep the cheese and don't forget as grandmother says a little wine now and again is good for the stomach and the soul. ;)

I don't know what's so bad about cheese, but margarine has trans fats in it, which is really bad. Trans fats usually appears as some form of "hydrogenated vegetable oil" under the ingredients list, and it's horrifyingly common - most packaged foods have it. It's so common because it's really cheap and tastes good when added to food. Unfortunately, it's terrible for your body and can lead to heart disease or artery blockage in the future. (See the below source for more info.)

The only bad thing I can think of about cheese are the unpastuerised ones, which can habour micro-organisms that your body might react badly to.

Hi! I am also Italian and a lover of cheese. This woman didn't give you an explanation because she didn't have one. Margarine is the healthier version of butter and perfectly fine to eat. Cheese is a different thing. As much as I love cheese I try to limit the amounts I eat, it has high amounts of fat but as well as that, it is essential to eat it because it gives you calcium. Don't drastically stop eating cheese, according to scientists eating foods that you enjoy to eat (in moderation) give a person a happy boost.

Ciao e buona fortuna

Cheese is a natural product... well depending upon WHO made it !

Margarine is just plain scary !! Stay away from man made food items, prefabricated stuff, due to all the harmful chemicals that man adds to preserve and flavor things.
