There's always the possibility of problems in ANY long-term relationship. But in this case, age difference shouldn't be a problem unless they choose to LET it be one.

There certainly doesn't have to a be a problem but in terms of longterm relationships be aware that people want things are different times in there lives. It can be very difficult with an age gap if one person is ready to say have childrenq/marry but the other isn't. This can be a problem for ANY couple but seems more likely (in my own experience) if there is a biggish age gap...although 4 years isn't really a particularly large age gap. As a female if you feel you may want kids in say the next 4 years you might wanna bring this up with your partner as he will be that bit younger....but ultimately it all depends on the individuals involved

Four years age difference is not a problem at all....I know a couple where the woman was 11 years older than the man...and they have been together for over 50 years! It's all about respect, honesty and mutual understanding.

No, only if you made it a problem. I know 40 year olds that act 20 and 24 year old that act 40. It all about you and what you make of it.

if the difference was 10+ years maybe, but it should not be a problem with such a small difference in age unless you make a point to always bring up the fact that you are older or that he is younger.

My mom was 7 years older than my dad. They were happily married until my mom died 30 years or so later.

Age shouldnt have anything to do with it. If you have strong feelings for one another and you feel that he is mature enough in all aspects to be with you then yes it should work out.
