I did not make it up. I think it is our nature to question and wonder.. one would think this might be the forum for it.

anyway, to be called names, etc. for asking a question is strange to me.

Those who did answer honestly and sincerely, thank you very much.

Dont worry about the insults. Everyone gets them if they raise touchy subjects. I went back and read your question, and I think you phrased it kind of harshly. But really sometimes there is no gentle way to ask questions. I am sorry if anyone offended you. I think you were making a valid point. Being Muslim myself and always seeing answers filled with hatred, and vile things directed to my religion- I tend to get a little peeved.

Even I did not understand the meaning of your last question--

Some people get a feeling of superiority by insulting other people,
these are usually the same people that at some point in their lives have felt totally powerless over some situation in their lives and were subjected to the same abuse as the project now.
for this reason they deserve our pity.
As for their insults directed at you and your question, there was a saying that U.S. soldiers used in the jungles of Vietnam "It don't mean nothing" and thats how you should view the negitive responses you got for your question. remember the only dumb question is the one you don't ask!

Personal insults and personal attacks are not ever of God. We are to stand for truth, and to love everyone, But we may hate the sins of someone else. Name calling is not necessary.
Yes, it is ok to question and wonder, its the only way we learn. God says to check out all things according to the Bible, so thats what we do, even with pastors. If it doesnt match up with the Bible, its false. Study and know for yourself all of Gods truths. Its an exiting adventure, and worth every bit of time we give to it.
If others have attacked you, I apologize. Just forgive them and know they dont know what they are doing, and God says to forgive them.
Then, go on about your life, living it as God says to live, and doing all He calls you to do. Its him you answer to. noone else, and remember, all will one day answer.

What was the question you asked? Some people don't want to think that it could be truth.

People will attack anyone that they don't know, but I can bet you that if you were infront of their face, they would be the nicest people you will know. But instead, they hide behind a computer screen and a screen name.

my answer was not disrespectful--maybe sarcastic but i didn't "insult" you. i merely made a point and this point is you can't generalize people based on the actions of a few.

the tone i used in my answer is the same tone you used in your question.
