I have a hectafied cuffed up family and I'm not ashamed to admit it. On the surface everything seemed okay - but when my grandparents passed a few years ago; it became evident they were the glue holding the family together.

In my immediate arena with my parents everything is fine, but if we venture outside to the other limbs on the family tree - the tree is greatly divided.

I dont have a family.... I HAVE A SMALL TOWN! j/k... Im the NINTH child. I have 27 nieces and nephews. I've never been to a small family get together with MY Family. They are a bunch of hethans! haha... But I wouldnt trade them for the world. We are all crazy and all different, and its alot of fun sometimes. I have 5 sisters and 3 brothers. Some of their names even rhyme! Its crazy at times, especially at christmas, getting us ALL together. Its literally like having an entire town to my dads house. So many different people, and friends of the family. Its crazy! Hope this helps!

My own small family that consists of just me, my husband, my daughter, and our dog. I'm very happy with my family. As far as the in-laws and my mother, father, siblings, etc... go yes for the most part I'm very happy with my family. We have our shares of ups and downs but I'd say we put the "fun" in dysfunctional! lol

My immediate family is me and my boyfriend, my two stepdaughters and our tortoise and I am extremely happy. As for our extended family of parents and siblings and whatnot, we are both very happy. We have one or two people that we're not crazy about but we both have very loving and and fun and supportive family and I enjoy all the time I spend with them.

I have 3 children, all grown and out on their own...I see or talk to each one of them at least once a week, if not more. I live with the love of my life, someone I met when I was in my late 40's. We have been together for almost 6 years and never argue.

I am a mother of five and I am very happy with them, because I have taught them a very important rule:
You must have respect for one another; you can fight, argue, because all kids do and that is your job, but above all you must respect one another; even more than your friends, your family comes first.
What else I do is I am always hugging them and complimenting them.
At times we have presentations where we get up and give a presentation of our own choosing. I thank my husband for that idea, because it makes our kids feel proud.

My dad- physically and verbally abusive to me and my sisters. Just verbally abusive to my mother.
My mother- Gossips. Fake. Never stands up to my dad.
My siblings- love them to death.

Although my parents have their bad sides, they did send me to college and helped me pay for it. They did raise me- perhaps not by the best methods- but overall they stuck with me. And I apprecate it. So yes, I'm not HAPPY with my family, but I'm okay with them.
