Two things you said are a little concerning...

1. Dog stool should never be black... this is an indication of a number of possible different things, ranging from poor diet to worms or infection. (The younger the dog, or really, really old... the more serious this is. In any-rate, it is a sure sign of your dog being in some distress).

2. The stool should also never be runny for longer then a day. (if it's there and then clears up it was probably just something that upset her tummy.)

I would strongly suggest that you get a stool sample in a zip lock baggy and take it (and her) to the vet as soon as you can to figure out whats up before she gets any sicker.

Make a vet appointment ASAP! Stool should never be black and runny is never a good thing. Hope all goes well and best of luck!

My yorkie has this problem from time to time. The vet told me it was because of an upset stomach. Some dogs react in different ways when they have upset stomachs some vomit, and others poop in various colors other than the norm. I would suggest getting an appointment with your vet though.

Sorry to hear your puppy isn't feeling well! It could be nothing but it could also be worms. Best bet would be to get her to a vet where they can do a stool sample and check her over to be sure nothing else is up. Best of luck! Let us know how it goes!

did you change her food recently or did you feed her something that had too many condiments like pizza or something from your plate.. also it usually happens when you give her can food with lots of gravy.. but to be safe take her to the vet .. it always gives you a peace of mind
