gokart,

If you owned a business in California (and I'm pretty sure every state has something similar, and the Federal Government too) and you didnt you could possibly be sued for discrimination under The Unruh Act.

My mother is 85 years old. She was brought up on a farm and went to a one room schoolhouse which had grades 1-8 in the same room. Even though my ancestors had been here since the early 1700's,at home they spoke Pennsylvania Dutch,a form of German. When she started school, she knew a few words in English. Even though the majority of the students that went to that school spoke Penna Dutch, school was taught in English only, since that was the language of the country. The kids either learned it,or flunked out. No one was catered to,there were no special language classes, the teacher taught at a steady pace and they were expected to keep up. The same should be done today.

what kind of stupid question is that? Do you know that someone is an illegal alien just by looking at them? NO! If I had a business, then - yes I would welcome everyone. Except for people who did not want to pay or who wanted to cause problems!( that includes white trash, blacks, chinese, whatever color!)

How would you know they are "illegal"? Do you ask for their green card. If they are paying customers what is the problem? I would serve whomever is polite and has the money to pay for the "services".

Do people ask customers to see their papers?
That's annoying, inpractical and invasive.

If someone asked to see my papers when I went to a resturant, I'd laugh in their face and leave.
