We are planning to replace our kitchen countertops and are considering putting ceramic tile on them. Any suggestions you can offer I would appreciate. Please advise as to the type of finish is required.

I would avoid tiled countertops due to the grout. Even after they are sealed, it is very difficult to keep them looking clean. In addition to the dirt, I would be VERY concerned about bacteria.

I put tiles on a counter top in one house I lived in...15 or so years ago. I would not recommend it...high maintenance and even with sealer, hard to keep looking clean...I would suggest some artificial slate in lieu of tile. Anything with a smooth, flat surface.

confident, you could tile over your latest tops. evaluate, in spite of the undeniable fact that, that throughout the time of the adventure that your landlord does not like it, he can value you your risk-free practices deposit for removing. Taking tile off of counters is an costly, messy technique, so that's fairly useful to get the ok first. sturdy luck w/your project.
