I am in desperate need for a friend. I am so lonely I need a friend like myself that will not judge me or treat me different if they know I have mental disorders. I am always on stimulants so I do things really fast and talk out loud to myself I ask myself questions am I werid or wrong will I ever have a friend?

You might find an email support group for people with bipolar/ADHD to help you feel less alone. It doesn't replace real-world friends, but I've found it to be a truly priceless form of support and understanding. There are many groups out there...just from experience I would suggest checking out yahoogroups.com ...

It happens to everyone. I myself am a bi-polar manic depressive, and while I have a tendency to push my friends away, especially when I need them the most, I always have a support group to fall back on. Also my family provides a lot of support for me. My true friends always come back after a while, because they understand the way I sometimes get being bi-polar, and after a while they forgive me for being a b***h. You should ask your doctor or therapist if there are any regular support groups in your area for people with disorders such as yourself, and start there. You can't ever truly be happy with yourself or anyone if you don't have support to help you trough the hard times. Good luck.

No, you're not weird - you have bipolar, and you need to find a support group with people who understand what that means. My son in bipolar, so I know it's hard, but it's worth the effort - you're worth the effort! And by the way, I talk to myself all the time - friends make fun of me, but that's just the way I've always been - I think it comes from spending so much time alone. Get on-line and find a chat group that you can get involved in, it'll really help. Good luck, my dear!

Talk to your doctor about what support groups there are for people with bi-polar disorder in your area. There are tons of people out there suffering from mental disorders who feel just like you do. Getting involved in a support group can help you meet people who struggle with the same day to day problems that you do.
