my question to you is.. how long is your hair? most people don't realize that the glands in your scalp make just so much oils to protect the hair, this will usually cover about 5-10 inches of your hair beyond the scalp, ...remember the old wives' tale of brushing your hair a hundred strokes before going to bed? There is some truth in that, especially for longer hair but 25 to 30 strokes is adequate enoungh to ditribute the natural oils from the scalp to the ends of your hair. Length has alot to do with it and so does the shampoos and conditioners you use. you don't want to use a conditioner that leaves your hair feeling greasy if oily hair is your problem. try not using a condioner for a while, or just condition the ends if you have long hair. hope that helps

Well, you either have extremely oily hair...or you wash your hair too often....which is the case for most people. If you wash your hair your hair tries to get back all of its natural nutrients back as soon as possible because most shampoos strip the hair of its natural vitamins and so its over-compensating to get these back. Therefore, my best advice is try to wash your hair less often. Maybe cut it down to 2 times a week opposed to everyday. Plus....not washing your hair might give you better options for what to do with your hair. Like updos or braids. Plus, even that guy from that bravo show about the hair salon came out with that stuff that makes your hair look like you haven't washed it. Hair, unwashed is more moldable...so work with that....hope this helps!

If you have oily hair I don't think you should be using a conditioner. That may be making it worse. Use shampoos specifically for oily hair also.

Unfortunately, you have oily hair and you'll just have to wash it every day.

Have you tried a good shampoo for oily hair? When in doubt, ask your hair dresser.

use a clarifying shampoo like Pantene ProV or garnier fructisse to help with oily scalp. You can also look for other shampoo that are made special for oily hair.

the different day. i take advantage of dry shampoo on the days that i do no longer wash it so it's going to be valuable and sparkling. interior the summertime I wash it extra in lots of cases than that if i'm out on the pool or whilst i circulate to the sea coast so i will get the chlorine or the salt water out of my hair.

Heredity and diet have a lot to do with your hair. Do you eat a high fat diet? I have very fine but thick fine hair. It has to be washed daily to look it's best.

It's just the luck o the draw sometimes me love!
