God finds us- Romans 3:10 says "No one is good, not one, no one seeks after God"
-God is the one who draws us- through His wonderful truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is by faith we hear the word of God- and faith comes from that- as it says in Romans 10:17.
"No one can come to Me unless the Father draws him, and I will raise him up on the last day" -John 6:44
(Jesus said this)
So when christians preach the good news, God softens the hearts of those who hear, and some do not accept but their heart stays hard. ( See Romans 9 if you do not get that )they do not come to Him on their own. No one can- because we are all under sin and there is no good in us to do that- and as Jesus says in His Holy word- "Apart from Me, you can do nothing" --True!

Since the way in which each person will think of a god is based on how they view and understand reality to be then each person must come to their own understanding of what a God is or is not.
One could argue that this makes God no more real then any other delusion that a person may have about life or themself. In a sense that could very well be true. After all we know that the idea of God has been and is being used by people to perpetuate stupid wars!
My biggest problem with the standard Christian picture of God is the moral and ethical nature that this God has! To me this God is not one to admire or try to be like. Unless you want to be a sadistic child abuser that is extremely insecure!

It could happen many ah ways. God Loves his children and seek only to give them joy everlasting. It's hard for some of us to grasp that concept because some of us do not feel worthy, and were not.
But God loves us anyways and still wants us. Weird huh? I'm not sure which way he wants us to find him, but I know for sure it will be his way. God Bless. Love. Amen.

No what you mean about churches. Why don't you give the Spiritualist church a go - it is different and you will certainly get answers that you don't in the Christian or Catholic churches. You will find more than God there and they accept people from all denominations and religions.

Religion gives God a bad name. Fictional religious books written by greedy men are full of lies.
I think that God wants us to find him out of belief and not fear of any imaginary place.

We need to find out the truth for ourselves, however when we do we then need to follow through our belief by doing what He would want us to do.
It may be that you haven't found the right Church yet.
May I invite you take a look at www.mormon.org to learn more.

First of all YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE to see or hear. And you don't need church.Even if you are in the forest and you say a prayer, He will hear you.Do not think that if someone knows the Bible by heart he can help you or make you belive or get you closer to Him.

God has reached out to man and provided a path to Him for each of us, individually. It is our choice to accept or reject the path to God that He has freely given us and offers to all mankind.
Although we individually accept or reject God, if we accept His free gift of grace and ask Jesus to move into our heart and be the Lord of our life we are not only born again we become a part of the family of God. Also known as the body of Christ. Part of God's grand design is that we have a relationship with Him and with our eternal family of brothers and sisters.
Unfortunately even though 85% of America claims to be Christian it seems that many have accepted the free gift and have chosen to ignore having Jesus become the true Lord of their life. As a result many churches today are filled with people that are still captives to sin in their life and do not understand that they really can be truly free. This is truly sad because there is a consequence to this choice. In 2 Peter 2:20-22 it says that those who have known the way of righteousness and escaped the corruption of the world and then return to being enslaved are worse off than they were in the beginning.
It is true that we are under the covenant of grace and we are a forgiven people. Even though we are able to be forgiven if we choose to maintain the current world-view rather than entertaining the Christian world-view and applying the wisdom of the truth claims and promises from God in our daily life we are not only remaining captives we take the presence and power of God out of our life instead of being drawn into it. I believe that this is why going to church has been such a disappointment to you.
I encourage you to keep seaching until you succeed at finding where in the body you belong. I believe that your participation in the family of God is essential for your stability as you experience the trials of life. The family of God that you are participating in stands with you as God hones and develops the character He wants you to have as well as removing the dross from your soul. All of us grow older it is by choice that we choose to mature. I believe that in order to grow and mature as a man in Christ it is important to become grounded in the body of Christ. Finding a church that is Christ centered and filled with the presence of God. A church that considers the bible to be the written word of God and accepts it as completely true, is a necessity. The leadership of the church is led by men who have a passion and compassion for their "flock", men who are grounded in relationships and God's word, men who reflect Jesus in all areas of their life. This is the type of church family that I believe you want to look for, become a part of and participate in.
Even though you may not have found this part of the body for you yet, it is out there. When you do find the local family where God wants you to be and participate in anti-climax will be a word of your past. You will find that you are able to discover the gifts God gave you upon your re-birth and be able to develop and train them in service to God in the way He designed and created you to. You will feel more satisfaction and peace in regard to your life as well as personal fulfillment than ever before. God has a plan for everyone and I am not saying that it is only in the church you will do this. What I mean is that being a part of a family that accepts you, loves you and gives you the room to grow and mature is a real asset and can help you to find and pursue the path that God made just for you.

He wants us to look to the bible for answers to that. He inspired it specifically for our instruction so we would know what He expects of us. Pray earnestly if you are searching for God and He will answer you.
