He is in his second year of preschool and knows all his letters and numbers. Is there a fun game that teaches letter sounds? And any other good game suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks!

My son has the L-Max Letters on the Loose and the regular leapster Reading with Phonics. The Reading with Phonics has an elephant on the cartridge. They both work in the L-max. Both are great for beginning spelling and reading. My son is 5 and is in Kindergarten and knows all of his letters and sounds.

What works great for him was the Leapster Leaptop. You can find one on ebay or i'll sell you his. He's done with it.

My kids have always enjoyed their Leap pad/leap frog...they make different ones for different ages, and a wide array of books. They even market some that have characters from recent movies and televisions shows (like "Cars" and "Spongebob") They can be a great learning tool, and with so much to choose from, it's less likely they'll get bored. They run about 30 bucks new, and the books/cartriges are around 12-13 dollars new. Check out flea markets and thrift stores, too... I picked up one that was in great shape for 10 dollars and it had three books with it.

Get some games that start teaching simple math and spelling. Maybe a beginning reading one too.
