Is there an age limit or other requirements?

My guess is to either talk to a nun or look it up on line. I know that RC nuns have an age limit (35 years old is the last time you can apply) and EO nuns have you in stages. LIke novice is your first stage and that lasts about 3-5 years.

I believe you can become a novice at 18, though they may have changed that rule. I suggest speaking to your priest and asking if he knows of any convents nearby, or can put you in touch with a nun.

However, there are very few Orthodox monasteries and fewer convents in America. Not sure that that's where you are, but it's something to bear in mind.

It was never encouraged in the Orthodox church the way it was in the Roman rite. Since Orthodox nuns are cloistered, your best source of information is probably your parish priest.

Depends which Orthodox Church you are talking about, since there are many groups, most of which don't recognize each other.
