i have just found out that i have cancer in my head but what will my boyfriend say about it ?

I am sorry to hear that. I can't say how your bf will react but I can tell you that if he doesn't stand up with you to fight it, get rid of him. Love and marriage is 'in sickness and in health'.

I know if my fiance came now and told me something like that I would be there with him and especially if it is terminal I would rush our wedding to spend all my time with him and I know that he will do the same for me. We are both realists and asked each other questions like that early in our relationship.

That is really a way of knowing the depth of your love.

I hope that things work out and that you are able to fight it. My bf's brother fought and won lung cancer last year, he's only 24.

I am so sorry to hear that. If your boyfriend loves you he will support you and help you through this time. Explain to him in full detail what exactly is happening in your head, treatment options, side eddects you will experience, and possible outcomes. If you let him know everything up front then he will not be so shocked when things start to change and he will be more prepared to deal with it. If he cannot handle it then he will try to push you away, because to him it will seem like if he doesn't see you then its not really happening. I hope you also have the support of your family. this depends on many things. It depends first of all on how he was brought up - if he was taught to be there to support people in their time of need, he'll be there. If he was taught that cancer is "scary" and to get out - he will.

It also depends on how long you've been together and what his feelings are for you. It will be tough, no doubt, but many times it works out better for the relationship one way or the other.

Well, try telling him to find out. how would anyone here know, we are not your boyfriend, or do we know what he thinks. I would imagine he will go through many emotions. Sadness, madness, worrisome, and many other things, but don't keep it from him, you need a support system to deal with it too. If he leaves you, then he is not strong enought to deal with it at this time. just stay positive and things will go well for you.

he better be supportive and loving if he really cares about you..if he acts different towards you or gets mad about it, then he doesn't really care about you..expect him to be sad about it, but he should support you and love you even more
