what problems don't they cause or contribute to? ! everything from bad breath to cancer and stinky clothes, car and house!

1. Litter. Check the first stop sign after a freeway offramp. Cigarette butts are not the bulkiest components of litter, but they do account for the largest number of littering incidents -- and, a smoker who is already accustomed to chucking his butts into the street is more likely to litter with other objects than a normal person.

2. Brush fires. Where I live, Southern California, there are brush fires started by careless smokers every year.

3. Home fires. Smoldering cigarettes are the biggest cause of home fires resulting in fatalities. The problem is so bad that I'd consider the cigarette to be a defective product that should be recalled. The fact that Congress doesn't act to have cigarettes recalled suggests that all members of Congress who aren't bought and paid for are spineless yellow bellied lily livered cowards. The fact that the tobacco industry doesn't voluntarily recall cigarettes is proof that there's no one with a conscience in the industry.

4. Emphysema, cancer, "smoker's hack," other respiratory distress.

5. Yellow-brown "fur" growing on a smoker's possessions over time.

They can cause many problems. anything from always smelling like you just came from a bonfire, to tasteing like an ashtray for your well whomever you are kissing, to cancer anywhere from the lungs to your brain. Then again, you may not have anything happen to you, you may be really lucky. smoking though, why do it? It's rather like saying, lets go smoke our driveways, then we'll be cool!

As well as all the previous health problems and issues, that ciggarettes cause, They also cause financial problems. A lifetimes smoking costs, are immesureable. Plus, the way things are going, (sent out of office buildings to smoke outside etc.) smoking is being recognised for the anti social habit it is, anyone who smokes, is likely to have social problems as well. So, to sum up, health, finance, social................... pack them in. :O))

lung, respiratory problems, like emphysema and cancer
bad smelling clothes, bad breath

time away from your friends/family while you "go out to have a smoke"
loss of taste, maybe smell, too
