It is the Christmas shopping season and everybody is out for themselves. Screw the love and respect of your neighbors and friends and just get in there and buy, buy, buy! Sometimes I wish that I had a big foam bat to bop them when they are rude. Plus, being the way I am, I make the situation worse by calling them on it. I absolutely hate shopping this time of the year. People just couldn't care. Oh and Merry Christmas!

This isn't just a store-related thing. I hate to rant, but people are rude everywhere. Everyone is in a hurry to get everywhere and nobody really knows why. Try driving the speed-limit on the expressway during rush hour, even in the slow lane. Hell, try doing it around 3 p.m.. You'll get flipped off more than you would in a cab in NYC. Then, there's food-service. Having worked three years in food service, I can tell you there's nothing worse than attempting to serve sandwiches to self-obsessed businessmen.
"A MINUTE AND A HALF FOR A SANDWICH AND A SALAD!? THAT'S OUTRAGEOUS!!" they cry, ignoring the line stretching to the door behind them. (I worked at a Panera, for those of you who are curious.)
But dear lord, grocery stores. The best is the looks you get when you walk slowly down an aisle trying to find the best deal. The people behind you go berserk, but they won't say anything, so they just stare at you and occasionally shake their head, like they know something you don't about how quickly you should be walking.
Good lord, people are rude.

ok i'm an Aussie and that i've got have been given via no potential been to a clean baby bathe the area they have a registry.. I did pass into Toys R Us different day and stated that they did registry's even nonetheless. A registry may well be a powerfuble element yet.... you may via no potential placed such extreme priced grants on there.... i do no longer understand who she's attempting to new baby right here.. they're subject concerns that she,or the destiny grandparents could desire to be determining to purchase .. so a techniques as i'm demanding the grants you're taking to a clean baby bathe are.. the purposes which you fairly desire for the right now to be infant eg.. clothing, nappies, teething toys, bibs, socks, wipes, lotions, etc... And what makes this even worse is that she is a artwork COLLEAGUE, she's no longer even an extremely close pal (i anticipate).. i could rock up with subject concerns that on the instant at the instant are not on the record, she could desire to be grateful which you attended and introduced some thing!!! good success!!

Yeah, drives me crazy too. You'd think people would have at least some basic awareness that they're in a busy store with other people trying to get around, too.
Sometimes people are just a little zoned out and once you say, "Excuse me," they kind of snap out of and apologize, which is fine. Everybody does that sometimes, and actually sometimes people are very polite and nice once they realize they've done something inconsiderate like block you or accidentally bump you with the cart. But others have to know they're being rude, they just don't care.
I have seen: guy actually intentionally turn his cart sideways to block the entire aisle at Costo and then stand there and have a fifteen minute conversation with a neighbor he ran into, while person after person tries to get past, gets ingnored, and finally gives up and turns around and has to walk around the other way.
CONSTANTLY people stopping in the supermarket aisle to talk with carts side by side and the two of them standing in the middle, ensuring a total blockade of the aisle.
People not sure what they need, so they just stop with their cart across the entrance to the aisle and wander off to search for something, leaving it there for you to move.
You get the idea. Seriously, how hard is it to just pull your cart off to the side so people can get past? And do you really need to have your cart attached to your body every step you take? Sometimes it's okay to leave the cart parked and just walk over to grab something instead of forcing your cart into the crowd.

My question is why does everyone just assume that everyone else will watch out for them? When you're exiting an aisle and entering a main aisle, you have to yield the right-of-way to those in the main aisle... similar to driving. What don't people get about that? I cannot count the number of times I've been walking down a main aisle and have had another cart bust into mine. Then the people just sort of look at me like its my fault. GRRRR.

The other rude thing in the stores is that when they find someone that they are talking too they talk in the middle of the isle so other people can't get around them.
The other rude thing is that if there are some teenagers there they are the most disrespectful most loud, obnoxious and can't keep there opinions to themselves. I wish they would learn how to keep there opinions to themselves so they wouldn't make everyone else miserable as well.

It's either because they are totally self-absorbed (and not aware of those around them) or because they think they are more important than everyone else.
Here is my problem with this. Good manners (and laws) are to protect the weaker members of society. Many of the people you see jumping lines, and acting rude to sales people are physically weak (they just happen to have money). If society deteriorates to a state of nature, many of these very people will be the first to be abused by the stronger among us (I don't like waiting in lines either, but in a free-for-all, I can guarantee I would be near the head of the line). Since these weaklings have the most to loose, you would think they would try to promote good manners, not invalidate them.

Hold on it will only get worse as we get closer to Christmas. It's funny how on the street at Christmas gets close we can be so friendly and chummy with strangers wishing "Merry Christmas" holding open doors. Get into the store to shop and you would think we become animals and treat people like trash. It's amazing...

i live in arizona....so this time of year we get alot of "snowbirds" (people who spend the winter in the warmer climate, but their permanent homes are up north)....and they are all elderly, and totally oblivious to everyone and everything around them......it drives me crazy!!!!.....first when i go to the store i have to wait 20 minutes to park because these people are clogging up the parking aisles waiting for a close spot to open up....then when i'm in the store i have to wait on them agian, cuz they park their cart in the middle of the aisle while they examine everything in front of them....then at the express checkout they have their 37 items even tho it's 10 items or less.......ughhh!!! complete lack of consideration!!
