One of the best tips is to keep a food diary or journal. Sometimes we really do not realize how much we are consuming but having it in black and white really paints a clear picture. In order to lose weight you need to be burning more calories than you are consuming. And you need to burn around 3,500 calories to lose one pound of fat. It is a lot easier to take it in than it is to burn it. One of the best exercise programs is to have both cardio and strength training included. You actually burn more calories throughout the day if you are strength training. I like to alternate between days.
Also try to consume more protein than carbs it really helps to melt the fat and promote lean muscle mass. Take a good multi vitamin it will help especiall when dieting.

Cutting out fast food and fattening food is a good start but remember our body does require some fats. Not all fats are bad. Try to remember that you aren't in fact *dieting* but changing your diet. There's a difference. Always carry fruits or little snack veggies in your purse or bag. Nuts are a good little snack as well pretzels or healthy dry cereal. And carry a water bottle with you when you remember to. Water fills us up fast. Try smaller portions of meals but aim for 4-6 *feeding times a day* which include snack times as well. And remember, the right attitude, determination and discipline go a long way.!! Good luck!

just remember that the faster you take it off,,the faster it will come back so do it slowly and during that time you're also getting use to the new way of eating..my tip,,,,water and lots of it. if you're not too hot about plain water then buy some flavor packets out now that are sugar free and will add a slight taste to the water. water is needed for the body to help burn calories and plus its good for your skin at the same time....

have a light breakfast, lunch and very light dinner but eat early so that by the time you sleep the food will be digested. Also if you need to snack in between eat something healthy like vegetable or fruit but nothing sweet sugar makes you fat.

Drink Green tea instead of coffee
Eat Peanut butter but don't go overboard it will make you feel full)
After working out drink chocolate milk instead of water or gaterade
My mother always told me to eat spicy foods to stay slim (I don't really know why) but it seems to work for me :-)
