Last night, my bf of 5 yrs and I were talking. Just about anything and everything. I've been feeling kinda down lately and I felt I needed reassurance, ya know? Alot of women get like that at times so I just asked what he admired about me. He was quiet for a minute and in a very noncaring tone he said, "Know what Bri? I honestly don't know." What does that mean? Has he lost interest? Does he not want me?

Perhaps he has no imagination and is insensitive to your feelings--it's anybody's guess. Could you think of five things right off the top of your head that you admire about him? If so, this relationship may be one sided. I'd suggest another conversation at a time when he is relaxed....since you've known him so long he probably deserves the benefit of a doubt. So, approach him again...let him know you've been feeling insecure....and ask him if there are qualities about you that he admires and take it from there. Communication is a major part of a good relationship. Good Luck

Thats a little fishy. I know exactly what you mean, I think alot of women need reassurance, but every single time I've asked my guy something like that, He has it right there and says it right then, and makes me feel great again. I think something is wrong here, and you need to talk to him about it. Tell him how you feel and ask him why he doesnt know! Good luck

Wow! Are there signs of love in this relationship? The first thing you must pay attention to is you have to be joyful and happy from within. Then, let him think about his answer. If he can not come up with one then I feel there is something definately missing in your relationship. Seriously make a list of the pros and cons of your relationship. This might bring a little more understanding to the unanswered ??. You may be surprized in your overall thoughts, especially when there right in front of you. Be good to yourself.

i think some of your funk that you were on rubbed off on him and i think you put him on the spot and he knows you have been down and didn't want to say the wrong thing to make you feel worse that is bad spot for guys you know they never know how to answer you may like the answer or you may be like that's it so cut him some slack he was trying to spare your feelings by not saying the wrong thing

I would not fault him on this one point. Maybe it's just time to step back and look at the whole picture so that you can see how his statement fits with the rest of your relationship.

No I mean no. I think you find just men don't like those question sent to him while he is watching TV. It's like a deer in the head light. You kind of go DRRRRRRR

don't read too much into it.
