My sister gave me her canary back in the early winter and he was generally pretty happy with the move here. He would fly out of his cage and sing alot and sit on top of his perch on his cage and just sing or look out the window. He just finished molting (about a month ago) and he still won't come out of his cage or sing anymore. All I get now are little chirps every now and then. I even put the nature music station on for him to listen to but still barely nothing. Why is this happening and when will he come out of his cage and sing for me again?

This is normal behavior during molting. Since it's hard for them to fly until the new feathers come in, they tend to get a little depressed. Just keep giving him lots of attention and get him some molting food to help him through the process and he should be fine if that's what's wrong with him.
Too many people don't realize that canaries and all other birds need more than the seed. Go to this site and read the other types of food you need.
