Daily grooming gives you an opportunity to examine your goat for problems like hooves that need trimming and signs of worms.

Daily grooming also helps you to detect lice and get rid of fleas on your pet. A small herd of one or two goats is fairly unlikely ot have a lice problem, but if you have a herd you're more succeptible to occasional infestations, especially during the winter when pygmies spend more time in their shelter.

As with most domesticated animals, pygmy goats depend on their owner for all their needs to survive. If just one of these needs is not fulfilled it can create problems for them. The basic needs are food, water and shelter. But, they will also need vaccinations and parasite control. If these needs are met, pygmy goats can lead full, happy, healthy lives, just as they should.

You may find products on here, such as frontline which would work very well.

Well, Kiko, You should be able to get a flea-dip remedy from Farm & Fleet, or your favorite feedstore. There are also many "home remedies" you can try, but I would check around and try to find something safe for your pygmy's. Remember that goats like to groom each other, like horses do, and you don't want them ingesting anything harmful to them. Good luck and we'll see you around...boots.

This sounds weird, but it works. Skin So Soft by Avon. It repels fleas, mosquitoes, biting flies and more. It is non toxic, smells pretty (really strong) and conditions their skin as well. I use it on my pet pig.
There are many other uses for it too, but I do recommend it for repelling bugs. I don't sell Avon btw.
