I am a believer in reincarnation. It would explain why children come into the world with such distinct personalities, and also why people have such odd phobias. There is scientific evidence (none of it conclusive) that reinforces my belief as well. I also believe that there are many places in the Universe where one may incarnate, and that a lot of beings from other places are choosing to live lives here now. I'm flirting with the idea that I'm from one of those other places, because I'm so drawn to the idea of extraterrestrial life.

I don't believe in past lives. That said (what can I say, I'm a walking, talking paradox), I have had past life regression hypnosis.
The very first time was self-hypnosis via music. Three times I went into that life. The first time, I felt my body moving as a wolf, running through the woods. the second time, I was the same wolf, but hunting, and it ended when I tore the throat out of a buck (I'm unused to blood, the sheer gore of it was shocking and shocked me out of it), and the third time, I stepped into a clearing with a bonfire and realized I was on two legs, not four, and that buck was draped over my shoulders -- that was when I realized that there were puppies by the fire, being tended by a female wolf, old men sitting on an outer ring of rocks and telling their legends and stories and teaching anyone who would sit and listen, and between the two there were others like me, wolves on two legs, their faces marked with war paints and celebration paints, holding up their spears as they danced for no reason other than to revel and glory in life, in the world around them.
Some time later, I had a friend who specialized in past life regression hypnosis so I went ahead and did it with her. The first time I don't remember all too clearly. I remember that I was a swordsman in feudal europe (the lay of the land seemed to suggest southern England) who was fighting to get back home because he had caught word his father was dying -- the last thing in that life that I saw was kneeling by my father's bed apologizing for taking up the sword instead of the book; I interpreted this to imply the Bible and that he had wanted me to pursue the priesthood. The next life was desert/mountain native american, possibly Pueblo, and the key event of that life was my rites of adulthood, and staring into my father's eyes as the wise ones marked me with the trappings of adulthood and seeing pride in those eyes. The final life of the three was a return to the wolf life, and the key event was of my passing in that life. I was old, and frail, and it was the people's custom to not become a burden on the others. My mate and I, both male, took the warrior's form and walked away from the clearing deep into the woods. I hugged him so tight as the death durge howl was begun and I reached down to drive the blade into my belly, sepiku-style, and died in my lovers arms. For some reason, at the end of that life, the person had me move past the death and do a life review... and asked what I had learned and what I had failed to learn, and I will never forget the response... "The wise must be a warrior, the warrior must be wise."

I very much believe in reincarnation. I did a past life regression through hypnosis, but I did not learn anything. I do feel that I am an old soul, though.

I believe it's possible. I don't have any stories. But I did read a book called Journey of Souls that gave a nice depiction about what happens after death and before life. It's supposed to be scientific, but I'm not too sure about that.

I do, I believe that we all have past lives...
I have no stories, it is the logical choice for me...
The idea that population growth disproves reincarnation is null and void if everything (plants, animals, and humans) has a soul...

I believe in reincarnation. I believe I have had many, many previous lives, and am working hard in this lifetime to learn all lessons presented to me and graduate to the next level so I don't have to come back to this toilet bowl again!
(I have no specific recollections of previous lives .. only dejavu.)

I'm still out on the subject, though it seems most logical to me.
If I have had past lives, all I know is that in one I drowned, and in one I committed an act of cowardice that claimed an innocent's life. No famous people or royalty here...

Reincarnation is proven as a devilish spoof. In cases of exorcism related to possessed "reincarnated" persons, the devil admits that he provides the knowledge and the visions of "past lives" to the individual, in order to lead the individual astray or confuse him/her. If you believe in reincarnation as a human or another creature, sin has little meaning except to reduce the "cycle" of lives, the growing population makes no sense, and being reincarnated as a human lower in the strata of society can expose you to prejudice as the societies in India and Japan show throughout history. It is an excuse for evil.
Many of the Nazis believed they were reincarnations of earlier kings or powerful individuals. (Dietrich) Eckart (who trained Hitler in techniques of self confidence, self projection, persuasive oratory, body language and discursive sophistry and to whom Hitler dedicated Mein kampf) and (Heinrich) Himmler are two strong examples. This unChristian or mostly occultist/polytheistic belief were later used to justify their crimes against humanity.
