Man I don't even know where to begin here.
One of my favorite fighters has always been "The Dutch Lumberjack" Peter Aerts, 3 times K-1 champion and one of the greatest kickboxers of all times.
Ernesto Hoost is the king of this sport. 4 times K-1 champion, "Mr. Perfect" has, over his illustrious career, fought and beaten almost every major fighter of his generation.
Then there are guys like "Geronimo" Jerome Le Banner, Ray "Sugar foot" Sefo and Stefan "Blitz" Leko, who have been there from the very beginning and are still at the top of the organization up to this day.
Branko Cikatic, late, great Andy Hug, Mark Hunt, Remy Bonjaski, Sem Schilt, are all K-1 champions and legends of this sport as well.
I know that Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic is no longer a K-1 fighter, but it would be a crime not to mention him here. He is the best kickboxer in the world today and his matches under this organization and some of the knock outs he had were true classics and examples to all kickboxers around the world.
Mike Bernardo, Sam Greco, Alexey Ignashov, Musashi, Francisco Filho were all K-1 greats and pillars of this company as well.
And in the end there are fighters like Glaube Feitosa, Ruslan Karaev, Martin Holm (if he decides to return), Paul Slowinski... and so on, which represent the future of K-1 and guarantee all the kickboxing fans many great tournaments and matches in years to come.
O, and let's not forget the K-1 MAX (under 70 kg division) which is at this moment absolutely packed with incredible fighters like Buakaw Por Pramuk, Andy Souwer, Masato, Albert Kraus, Mike Zambidis... and so on and matches that they put on are literally beyond belief. This is kickboxing at it's very best, awesome entertainment and a real pleasure to watch.
