The bible claims that God is omnipotent. Certainly, Satan has no match against God. Yet he fights on. Even the bible predicts his end, he seems to ignore this. I just cannot see the logic. On the other hand, why God will take such a trouble to destroy Satan as described in Revelation. I feel God and Satan might have a tacit understanding between them. Have anyone seen a book which says that Satan is the prodigal son? That's why the status quo continues until the end times. Or, God is giving to Satan to repent. But can Satan make repent, since he is in the losing ends and should he go on? But it would be a funny scenario, at the end times, Satan turns out to be an angel but the antichrist and the false prophet are left to be tormented in hell because of their unrepentance or lack of opportunity to doing so.

The simple fact is that Satan knows he's going to lose so he's going to drag as many souls as he can with him.

Christians believe that they're superior to the greatest angel that god made. They say things like "Satan is trying to fool you, but don't get fooled". As if! You can't outwit the guy.

Look at his balls in challenging god in the first place! This is a fellow you gotta admire. Reading the bible, and knowing that Satan is still around, tells us only one thing. God is not as strong as you christians think he is. Satan knows he will win.

Another explanation is that Satan and God are good friends. You guys are being duped into thinking that there's a war. God and Satan are playing chess with you fellows as pawns.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.

The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.

Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.

Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.

Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Insanity has been defined as doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. I think Satan lost it a LONG time ago.
As an angel, Lucifer had access to all knowledge needed to make his decision to serve Self over the Lord. He literally cannot learn from his mistake, because he doesn't see it as a mistake. Somehow, he still thinks he has a chance to return to his place above God's Throne, if he can just make God break His Word on ANY point.

Yeah, right. Good luck on that...

well, tho folks seem to think they understand the relationship between the Bible god and his adversary there seems to be some reason to imagine that they aren't really at odds.

i mean ... Satan apparently has leave to visit Heaven and hangs out with God. case in point is the story of Job wherein Satan shows up unannounced in the company of the sons of God and he and God devise a game/experiment to find out how faithful is God's servant Job. Job is subjected to all kinds of nasty experiences provided by Satan but all with God's approval.

so Satan and God are at least on speaking terms.

There are no real books on satan but theres one on Jehovah, how can you make assumptions on only one side of the story, you dont know what really happened all you are doing is assuming you know what happened, which you obviously do not.

Remember God is omnipotent. He created Satan, knowing full well this would happen.

Satan's strategy is to take as many people to hell with him as he can. He knows that each loss hurts God.

It is like when someone who is about to be thrown into a pool is trying to make everybody go with him by grabbing on to the nearest persons. He knows he going down, so he might as well try to get even with God by hurting him as much as possible before he dies.
