I think the devil is putting ideas into people's heads which make them want to hate us. We were warned that there would be prosecution against us, we just have to ride it out.

I don't hate most Christians. I do hate Christianity though. I don't hate most Muslims. I do hate Islam though.

I hate no other religion.

So then, what sets Christianity and Islam apart from all the others? One word: Conversion. Christianity and Islam both contain one thing that NO OTHER RELIGION HAS: a command to preach and convert the whole world. All other religions on the face of the earth are willing to coexist by their very nature. Christianity and Islam, however, are specifically NOT willing to coexist and they cannot both acheive their goal of world conversion (you cannot be Muslim and Christian), which is causing the buildup towards world war III that we are seeing in modern times.

Most Christians and Muslims are hard working decent folk who try to respect other people, but deep down they hope for conversion. Then you have the extremists and fundamentalists on both sides who are leading this world down the path of World War III because they feel the end of the world is both a requirement and inevitable, instead of trying to stave it off as long as they can.

Opal as a child did you not rebel when someone tried to MAKE you awaken before you were ready? Opal ,it seems that some of the pushiest christians( trying to awake a sinner) appear not to be christians at all. They say I am a christian,I have been baptized with water,I have been reborn, Jesus is in me. Then they tell someone, you are a "sinner" you should accept jesus. the "sinner" says "Are you a Sinner ?" The person says "Yes I am a sinner," Then the "sinner" probably dosen't know consciously, but his heart knows, this person is not a christian,He has not been reborn,he maybe Heard of Jesus but jesus is not in him & he is therefore a Liar. Convicted by his own words. He is a sinner, shall the blind lead the blind??? From LOVE

As long as Christianity, as well as several of the other "ultimate truths", have as their end and gleefully sought after goal, the END OF THE WORLD, and as long as they believe that their rights are being violated if they are denied the opportunity to use the coercive power of the state to shove their god down every ones throat, you will have to put up with us being in your face. Why should we abandon a forum where we can let you know that you will not be allowed to carry out the silly "End Times" rubbish that you seem to forget would include the rest of us.

Your question asks two seperate questions...

"Why do people have such a problem with god?"
I have no problem with "god," since there is no such thing. I can't possibly have any problem with something that doesn't exist.

"everyone always seems to hate christians, what have we ever done to you?"

You make public statements that are completely wrong (creationism and ID), try to teach your completely wrong and superstitious beliefs as "science" in public schools, want to legislate your own morality (ex: abortion) despite the highest court in the US telling you you are wrong, claim to be "loving and kind" yet are not (there are more "christians" in prison for violent crimes than people of any other religion in the US), are hypocritcal to the extreme (people like Ted Haggart), believe in things for which there is no evidence of any kind yet claim that they are absolute truth, bomb abortion clinics, repress knowledge in the name of dogma...

I could go on and on. Not all christians are bad, of course -- but all of the above are done by christians, most of them claiming to be the most devoted christians of all. As your own bible says, "by their works shall ye know them." By the works of christians, I know them to be hypocritical, liars, ignorant, violent, and nothing like they say their "leader" (jesus) was.

its all about the past lil lady. Christians killed millions to force their religion upon them. All of South America is mostly christian...not because they wanted to be but because the spanish and europeans forced this upon them. Christians is by far the worst religion...and the bible is the worst book IMHO. So there you go stop listening to lies and use logic to drive your actions. The bible is full of things we already know but never talk about or just basically ignore. Let it go religion is on a downfall as more and more people are realizing that it is all bullcrap and a half!!!!! Thank god for Atheism LMFAO!!!!

It's fashionable.

People think they are cool by coming out with anti-christian statements. Many love pretending they are being persecuted by the church.

It is socially acceptable to be prejudice against them. It is not seen as a form of racism like it would be with any other religion.

In all honesty these people know deep down that a christian has never done anything to them and their family....

...just let them jump on the bandwagon...

For me I have no problem with anyone's choice of religion - I just find it inappropriate and offensive when they try to force it on me, go out on the streets trying to convert people, prey on the vulnerable etc. This can be what offends people - it is fine to believe in what you want to believe but respect other people's freedom not to be interested.

i don't have a problem with god. just wish he'd show himself to me to make it obvious he exists! if only eve wasn't tempted to eat the apple! why did he tempt her? earth could have been a paradise! if you believe in free choice then sometimes we make a mistake, not being allowed to see what would happen at each cross road first we are bound to choose the obvious as we rarely see the big picture and what lies beyond. hind-site is a great thing. its confusing to us if a child dies or someone is taken young, we ask why god takes the good ones etc etc. grief, selfishness, different to your life style, jealousy and short sightedness lead to hate.

Guess it's because of lack of knowledge, understanding, testimony etc. That's why as Christians we need to set the example and show love to all so that we may get the opportunity to teach. Hope this helps.
