Just to let everyone know i am not a bad parent my child was at a babysitters and got into some cigggerates, shes only 8 months old!!

quit being a careless parent and call the poisen people. seriously if the cops get word of this you might be violating some kind of child law by being careless

It depends. If it was just tobbaco and paper, then you don't have to do anything. People have swallowed chew before and the general reaction is vomitting, not dieing. It was used on purpose to make people vomit. So if your child vomits, that's just a natural reaction to the tobbaco. If there was an old asbestos filter on it there might be some concern.

Consuming a single cigarette in the absence of nicotine or tar allergy might make the kid vomit, but poses no real danger in and of itself.
I ate a few myself when I was a kid.
Try to convince the kid that it's not a foodstuff and keep those smoking products out of reach.

I would start with poison control. 1-800-222-1222 or just call 911. Also, you might want to let your child know not to eat cigarettes.

If your child hasn't already vomited it up, then call poison control. My son used to grab cigarette butts off the sidewalk and eat them and every time, they'd make him barf. Nicotine is toxic to children, so you really should call poison control.

You can call poison control but don't panic - give him a bunch of milk coat his stomach and to wash it down and he will expel it - feed him bread and cakes
Poison control may tell you to induce vomiting but they will tell you what to give him
You are not the first parents whose kid ate a cigarette but,hopefully, you may be one of the last. PLEASE QUIT SMOKING

don't worry about it, it will not do him any harm, it will come out when your child needs to go to the bathroom. I'm sure your child realized it didn't taste too good, (I hope). But not to worry it will not do your child any harm. YOur child will be okay
