My doctor Is William Roberts of Tchcc, and he took my concerta ER away "cold turkey" and the withdrawl is horrible. What should I do? the concerta website said to not stop taking the meds abruptly.

If he is your doctor then he can do what is in the best interest for you! Maybe it was good to go cold turkey! After all you go into a drug treatment program you cant bring the drugs with you! BELIEVE ME sounds like you were becoming to dependent on these and he noticed it just be gald you on the correct track for your recovery and best of luck

Ask the doctor why he stopped the medicine abruptly even though the website said not to. If he can't or won't give you a good answer, get a new doctor.

take long walks, long enough to make you rest afterward, say like 5 miles - or if you are in good shape 10 miles. If he took you off meds you must be cured - be very thankful - you are very fortunate.

go to the er if he does not allow you to have a tapering completion of therapy--if you are experiencing symptoms of withdrawal, they will help. call them, most er's have a triage number for this purpose.

If you have questions about your medication, and can't get them answered by your present physician, I would get a second from doctor
