Religion is man's way of trying to reach God. Try God's way of reaching man and that is through Jesus Christ. Pick up a Bible and read the book of John in the New Testament, you will find the answer to your quest. If you are sincere about wanting to know God, ask Him to reveal Himself to you. He will.

That is a question that only you can answer. Do not be turned off from any religion by others of the faith or past experience with the religion. If you do your research, you will find your answer. Personally, I believe in Jesus Christ. I would not call myself a Christian but rather a follower of Christ. All that really matters in my mind is asking him for forgiveness, mercy, and guidance. The fact that Jesus was on this Earth is a fact. The debate is over what he was. If you look into it you will see the truth. According to ancient records the man was persecuted yet never showed aggression or anger towards those torturing and persecuting him. Could anyone that is less than God do this?

Dear friend,
In "Bhagavadgita", Lord Krishna tells Arjuna to not to try to follow other religion than his own, as one's birth takes place in one religion to perform his "Duties" for God with that religion and one's religion may change in his next birth depending upon his "Poorva Karma" (deeds done in the past). So, one has to perform his duties in his life accordingly and following other religion than his own may be horryfying. The terms "Life", "Birth", or "Death" does not mean the living & dying in a layman's language & each and every second or semi-second, many new cells are born and many cells die. This cycle of changes keeps on taking place in the Universe. This is not limited to only Humans. Even animals as well as plants, & also all other living and non-living things in this Universe also exist for sometime & become invisible. In Vedas & Upanishads (ancient epics of Hinduism), each & every tiny part of every atom has to change after some time. That's why everything in this Universe, whether planets, stars, sun, or moon, keeps changing its place, size, shape, or direction on its own given time. "Bhagavadgita" is nothing but an extract of ancient Vedas, Upanishads, and Puranas. But, it is in a very simple language & is in a 'Question & Answer' format. But remember, it is not possible for anyone to completely understand any Religion.
Hence, it is better to follow your own religion but there is nothing wrong in trying to understand other religions.

In all major religions, the followers strive to rid themselves of sin through various practices. They may pray in a prescribed way, do various good works, deny themselves legitimate sexual pleasure, follow dietary restrictions, lie on beds of nails, etc. The uniqueness of Jesus is shown in His statement, "The Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins." No other religious leader has ever made this claim. Jesus Christ alone can wash away every sin anyone has ever committed, be-cause of what He did on the cross. By paying the penalty for our sin, He can release us from the torture of guilt. We cannot do anything in the way of religious works to wash away our sins. Forgiveness is a free gift of God (Ephesians 2:8,9).

Which one's beliefs do you believe most? I dont think you should any. Are they the only ones you have looked at? Try Baptist. I am a baptist and I have looked at other religions and the baptist are the only ones that are clear, and seem true to God's word. All the others are too weird. Good Luck!

go atheist and make it easy on yourself. Religion is pointless and in many cases just an excuse to feel "special". They just bring trouble and make you feel as if you have to use faith and believe in something that has never existed. I feel sorry for all those religion followers ...tisk tisk.
