It's certainly not happening here today!

Alarmists fail to explain why temperatures began warming about 1850, long before man-made CO2 emissions could have had an impact. Then about 1940 as man-made CO2 emissions rose sharply, the temperatures began a decline that lasted until the 1970s. Temperatures got COLDER AFTER C02 emissions increased.

There was a Medieval Warm Period from about 900 AD to 1300 AD and the Little Ice Age from about 1500 to 1850. Both of these periods occurred long before the invention of the SUV or human industrial activity could have possibly impacted the Earth’s climate. The Earth was warmer during the Medieval Warm Period, when the Vikings grew crops in Greenland. The Little Ice Age resulted in harsh winters which froze New York Harbor.

The one degree Fahrenheit rise during the 20th century coincided with the greatest advancement of living standards, life expectancy, food production and human health in history, so it is hard to argue that the global warming we experienced in the 20th century was somehow negative or part of a catastrophic trend.

Here are some headlines warning of climate changes:

New York Times: “Geologists Think the World May be Frozen Up Again.” February 24, 1895.

New York Times: "Prominent Professor “Warns Us of an Encroaching Ice Age.” October 7, 1912

Los Angeles Times: “Human race will have to fight for its existence against cold.” October 7, 1912

Washington Post: “Ice Age Coming Here.” August 10, 1923

Chicago Tribune: “Scientist Says Arctic Ice Will Wipe Out Canada.” August 9, 1923

Then, in the 1930s:

New York Times; “America in Longest Warm Spell Since 1776; Temperature Line Records a 25-year Rise” March 27, 1933.

Time Magazine: "weathermen have no doubt that the world at least for the time being is growing warmer.” January 2, 1939.

Time Magazine in 1951 pointed to receding permafrost in Russia as proof that the planet was warming.

In 1952, the New York Times noted that global warming has been melting glaciers.

Shifting gears again:

New York Times: “the facts of the present climate change (cooling) are such that the most optimistic experts would assign near certainty to major crop failure in a decade.” December 29, 1974

New York Times: “A major cooling is widely considered to be inevitable.” 1975

Global warming is certainly happening. The only diffrence is that even in natural cycles it used to happen but now with our actions it has increased a lot.

We humans have induced temeprature rise to a faster rate and so the change in climatic conditions is very fast and many species will not be able to adopt that fast. There are many benefits of global warming but that does not mean we change the course of nature. Eventually if we donot take corrective actions may be we will be on the verge of extinction soon.

Climatic conditions have changed a lot and dry seasons have become longer, rains and colder seasons smaller and the worst is it has started raining in places where rain was scarce and rainfal has become less in areas once having abundant rain.

The green house effect, our nonsustainable way of living and cuttings of lungs of our earth i.e. forests are major factors effecting global warming.

It is undoubtedly occurring. You should see or read the movie or book "Inconvenient Truth". Another good book documenting global warming is called "Field Notes from a Catastrophe". Both of these have very solid scientific documentation of the reality of global warming.

I'm not an expert at all, but the following seem clear:

* The Earth has been both far warmer and far colder than it is now.

* We do not understand the full carbon cycle

* The hypothesis that human activity is causing GW is in question. After all, GW is happening on Mars too!

* As a species, we will continue to do nothing substantive until it is far too late.

tis happening. the snowcaps of thegreathimalayas in india are melting and r coming down as rivers and flooding the villages situated in the foothils of himalayas. this is highly dangerous.it may even lead to the submerging of these villages if this is to continue.

It is happening.
The evidence from geology, biology, climatology, meteorology, and dozens of other sciences all confirms it.

The link below will give you a start into the scientific evidence for it.

Probably, but another thing to consider are the positive aspects of GW.
1. Less fuel for heating
2. increased area of fertile land for crop production
3. increase in biodiversity
4. increased fresh water availability
and many others.

There are to many "Chicken Littles" in the GW arena.

Yes, it is happening , but it is a tempest in a teapot...
Exact causes are not fully understood...
Man is a "contributor" but how much is not known...
It is an event that is greatly hyped for financial gain..

the real answer is no one knows, there's evidence to proof it's existence but many scientists haven't found strong enough evidence for either it's existence or it's non-existence.
