I purchased a bulk amount of hot dogs at Sam's club back in September. I just looked at the expiration date on them and it is 11/22/06. Are they still okay to eat? Should I freeze the rest?

They may be safe if your fridge is very cold if you touch them and they have a filmy coating or their smell is anywhere near off-they are spoiled - toss - if not cook all of them for 10 minutes on a low boil - cool then freeze this will prevent any bad guys from emerging later. If meat is close to expiration always cook at least 1/2 way before refreezing to prevent contamination and preserve the flavor. Good Luck!

personally, i would not eat hot dogs that have expired. it takes a LONG time for hot dogs to do that, because there are so many preservatives in them. organic hot dogs are good for about 3 days after opening the package, to give you an idea of the amount of junk in non-organic types.
your best bet is to toss them. the last thing you want is to be telling a story next week about how you spent 3 days hugging porcelain over rotten weinies.

it isn't sturdy for all people people or dogs to proceed to exist a eating routine of warm dogs. attempt to hit upon a sturdy food and chop or grind up a warm canines and positioned it in there and if she eats it make the warm canines quantity a lot less and a lot less or swap it with a small quantity of moist canines food. dogs take time to regulate to any new eating routine so she ought to have had an disillusioned tummy from each and every food replace so feed her in small parts extra situations an afternoon once you feed her take her water away for extra or less thirty minutes then you definitely can go away it down you in simple terms do not want her to devour her food and gulp water down too quick with all that food in her

Depends if the package was opened or not. If the package was still sealed, you can eat what you want and freeze what you don't want to eat immediately. If the package was opened already and has been in the fridge since you bought them, throw them out.

I would freeze them right away, but as long as they don't sit out once they thaw I would say they're fine. Hot dogs have tons of preservatives and nasty stuff in them.. They would probably survive a nuclear holocoust. The meaty equivalent of a twinkie!

Hot dogs are pretty inexpensive. Trips to the hospital are not. Don't risk food poisoning. Toss the dogs and play it safe.

Hot dog or death! Throw them out! When it's meat and its old don't question the exp. date. Trash it! I think bulk hot dogs isn't a good idea either. Unless you LOVE hotdogs.

Your question reminds me of one of the food slogans that just didn't make it..."Hot Dogs---For People Who Just Can't Get Enough Snouts and Feet!!"
