A gorilla or a shark. This would be fought underwater so a shark would have the upperhand. To even it out, the gorilla gets SCUBA gear and a ballpin hammer.

I used to love animal face off- that show was bad ***- at least the last 5-10 minuites of it when they had the cgi animals fight (was there any point to the rest of the show?).

First of all the big question is can Gorillas swim. Some apes can't. But some say Gorilla could but they just don't like the water like cats. So Unless this is a mutant gorilla who has developed the skills to swim and likes to. Which is all together posible concidering the fantastic nature of this question.
Although the gorilla is very strong under water it would not be able to swing the hammer fast enough to get enough force behind it to harm the shark plus the shark would swim away and come at it from behind. If it is a large great white it will bite the gorilla in half. So Shark wins...

The shark would be too fast in the water. All it would take is one puncture of the gorilla's breathing appartatus and he would be a sgood as dead. The shark wins easily. That would be like putting the sahrk on land and giving it reverse scuba gear and tying one of the gorilla's arms behind his back. It still would dominate the shark. However enjoyable it might seem, there will never be a fair fight between a shark and a gorilla. And that makes me sad.

The Gorilla, with the gear and hammer, is still to slow for the Shark. Shark in :30. No chance of overtime.

So you gotta go with the shark. even if that is the smartest gorilla ever, think about it you put a human in a tank with a shark (scuba and Hammer also) and still Shark would come out on top...
