Remote control cable for CD unit?

I work at a school in South Carolina and we have a Gemini CD player. It stopped working a few days ago and upon looking at it, I saw that the cable that connects it from the CD to the remote control console has been badly damaged. Does anyone where I could buy another one?

If the cable is integrated into the remote control console, it may necessitate replacing that entire unit. If this is a standalone CD player, it may be more cost effective to replace the entire CD player, especially since most CD players have wireless remotes nowadays. Good luck!
