Ever since I have known I have had something in my life to make me happy, in my teens it was music, football, at uni it was drink, in my working days it was also drink and nights out, films etc. Now I'm 24 and have just got out of a messy FWB relationship and the only thing that interests me now is sex even though i'm not getting any, should I worry?

No, I don;t think so. You just had a messy breakup and you're heart is trying to heal. Part of healing is to lay low for a while. Sex is an animalistic urge that we get, unlike our passions for things like football and partying and such.

You;re just trying to get over something. If this persists for a loing period of time (a few months) you may want to seek some counseling though. To make sure you aren't dealing with some deep seeded issues.

Goodluck, and I'm sure that you will feel better soon!

We always want that which we can't have, in your present case, sex. You are 24 I wouldn't get too worried. You will find someone. In the mean time, catch up with your friends or something to keep you busy until you find that someone. Just don't sit home choking your chicken all the time. By the time you find someone you will have desensitized yourself and still won't be getting any.

As we often thing about the things we're not getting, I'd not worry about it, unless you think about it to the exclusion of everything else. (As in being obsessed)

A better idea would be to find things in your life that make you happy that you enjoy, (like the music and football etc) and not have your happiness depend on another person, or covering up unhappiness with drink.

While focusing on sex, and drinking is normal when you first become legal age, it's time for you to settle down now. I'm not saying you should get married, but you should get your priorities in order. You definitely need more to your life than just sex!

Definitely. It sounds like you have a severe compulsive disorder. I would see a therapist and try to help yourself.
