I have a 2005 hyundai elantra and my fiancee has a 2007 mazda3. We need to sell one, but which? the hyundai has an excellent warranty and only costs $350/month INCLUDING insurance. her mazda is $600 including insurance. The mazda is newer (and frankly nicer) than my hyundai, but my hyundai is much more reliable and safer. . . help

i own a repair shop, and if it were me making that decision,,i think id keep the safest and cheapest to pay for and operate right now,and you already know which one that is but if you need to get rid of one it usually pays to get rid of the most expensive one, this way you should come out ahead ,but you and her need to sit down and talk it over, before you make any hard decisions on anything right now,,good luck, and in sure you,ll make the right choice.

I love my Hyundai! The warranty is one of the best and I've never had a problem with warranty work. Mazda's are expensive to work on and maintain. But it really depends on what your budget can afford. If you're only going to use the car to go back and forth to work, I suggest keeping the Hyundai. If you're looking for better resale value later, keep the Mazda.

If I were you, I would sell the mazda. It maybe nicer but (although I prefer the elantra) you are probably selling to save money, right? So it would make sense to try to save as much as possible, which would mean selling the more expensive car. And safety is a very important factor also.
