As in "El Cucuy" whose picture I see on the subway/buses (along with some guapita named "la bronca") on the La Raza radio billboards.

Known as the "mexican boogeyman", the cucuy is the adult phase of an alien species now origionating from the Lincoln National Forest of New Mexico. Known for ferocity and stealthiness, the cucuy is feared by all children who know it's evil name.

cucuy.... La Raza (u do know thats mexican)....all that ur talking about right now... It's a thing thats used by many mothers to scare children so that they could listen to what their mothers say...not everyone uses it (example we never do and never will) its known more as like devil or something scary like that.... mothers would say....if u don't do this the cucuy will come get u

Ditto on the first answer. Cucuy is the equivalent of the Boogeyman to Americans.

well el "cucuy" is a guy that has hes own radio station.. he help lots of people in the hispanic comunity.. and "la bronca" is some girl that helps him.

It's a name for a local lasvegas radio show D-J. It means boogie-man or monster. Take you're pick. Personally I think the station has more commercials than music. La Bronca is his side-kick.
