Nope!!!!! If you didn't apply or play a lottery in the UK, more than likely it's a scam. If they send you a check, go to the bank customer service desk and ask them to verify it first before you deposit it in your account because if it is a fake check, you would be resposible for bounce check fees and any money you withdrawl off of it.

I recently received a similar letter in the mail. My husband also received the same letter except that it was based out of Spain.

We both decided that the letters were fake. I'm not going to give someone my bank info just because they say I've won something I never entered in.

Most (I would go so far as to say all, but can't prove it) of these are scams. They will request money to process your claim and just keep it, bank account information to route the money and wipe you out, or send you fraudulent checks/money orders for you to deposit into your bank account and then request you send them money for some purpose before the money clears and the bank tells you they are counterfeit and demand you pay them back. Thousands fall for these every year. A lot of ebay sellers lose out to the last one I mentioned.

No...its is fake...delete the email! people have been falling for these and losing thousands of dollars
