I'd go with the standard T-day/Christmas dinner fixings. But if you're tired of turkey (like I am) you could do a huge glazed ham. Then things like stuffing, green bean and cauliflower casserole, mashed potatoes or scalloped potatoes, green salad with a choice of dressings and toppings, relish trays, meat and cheese trays, shrimp platters, maybe even a soup, and rolls or crusty bread.
I never had a special kid menu when I was growing up, we had to eat what the grownups ate. But kids do like deviled eggs and pigs in a blanket. You could put them on the kids' tables so they feel like they have their own little Christmas dinner separate from the adults. Might make them feel special!

the best thing to do in my opinion is go for easy, fun, and good.
stick with the classics... chips and dip,7 layer dip is very good and simple to make, and the always great velveeta cheese melted in a crock pot with a can of rotel, have to put out the little smokies with cheese they are always a hit..do a cheese log and summer sausage with crackers... you want to keep it simple because of all the hustle for the next day and keep it light because you will have the feast on Christmas Day and of course never forget when all else fails PIZZA everyone loves it and you wont have a big mess to clean up that night...and don't forget the Paper Plates lol..
no need to fill your sink with dishes.

I have three words for you:
Macaroni and Cheese (for the kids).
Allrecipes.com is a big help. You can adjust serving size...and I bet they have some menu help too.
We fed 14 people at Thanksgiving with a 22 pound turkey.

I would do a whole fillet minion, twiced baked potato's, sauted string beans in butter and add brown sugar at the end, some kind of rolls. I have kids and they love good steak/beef. I throw the brown sugar in the veggies and the munch them right down. Everyone likes twice baked tatters.
