All I can say is I know it's hard now, but be so thankful you still have a mom. My mom died 12 years ago, and I miss her everyday. She was like that too. I look back and can see why. My Dad was a truck driver and she was by herself a lot, and being the wife of a trucker now myself w/ 3 kids, oh boy can I relate! Let her calm down, go to her, apologize for provoking your brother(believe me, you'll get farther w/ her if you do), and ask for suggestions on what you all could do differently. Ask her to spend some one on one time w/ you(Mom's love that). If the situation does not get better, go to a relative, and if that doesn't work, then go to a teacher at school. If that doesn't work, then call CPS. You want to make that a last resort, because they will come in and take you and your brother away. It won't be the other way around. It will be you and your brother going into a foster home w/ strangers, so be absolutely sure before you call. It will get better sweetie, I promise. She does love you, but she is human and does make mistakes.

You are only 12 years old - - you are basically still a baby. You can not take care of yourself at 12 and best believe me the streets are a lot worse than arguing with your mother. How old is your brother? If your brother is much younger than you - - you don't need to be pushing him even if you are joking. Your mother probably sees you as the older child and expects you to be more responsible. If your brother gets on your nerves and you know that your mother plays favorites then just ignore him. When your mad at him try making a point to say "I'm not even going to acknowledge you because I know mom will just take everything out on me!" If you can't even deal with your mother getting mad at you sweetie please believe me when I say the streets are no joke you wouldn't survive!!

Listen I know how you feel. But that is the way some moms are and I know you hate it now and hate her but in the end after you've grown up, you and her will probably end up best friends. And if you dont then at least you will be able to do for yourself. For now just try to stay out of her way. Dont give her a reason to get angry. Not even a stupid reason. If you know what she wont like just dont do it. If she is abusing you please tell someone. If you need someone to talk to please send me an im or an email. I am a great listener. Good luck.

All I can say is YOU ARE 12! Any mother out there knows exactly what I am talking about. It is a very hard time in your life, someplace between little girl and teenager. Your mom probably should be more patient and spend more time with you, but she has how many kids?? One is a newborn. Help her out!!! Have you offered to help with the baby or the older kids? Mom is probably pretty overwhelmed and she frankly doesn't have time to listen to you whine. Trust me, if you offer to help her and just be nice, she will come around. Please try it. Running away will do nothing but cause you heartache.

Stop messing with your brother, don't give her a reason to slap, sounds like she has issues, if it continues tell someone. But telling your brother he's a loser is messed up too! Sounds like alot of negativity in that home. Counseling would help. Talk to a counselor at school.

YOu are 12! YOu do not need to be leaving your house because your mother spanks you for provoking your brother. That is her job and responsibility. I know how hard it is to deal with a mother while you are a teenager, but you have to suck it up because you have got 6 more years of it coming.

You are only 12 so you are probably not looking at this objectively. Also you probably have no where else to go. I recommend you talk with your mother about how you feel you are being treated and see what she says. Its not right of her to slap you but then its not right of you to push around your brother.

OMG hun that is not good for you, You can't really leave the house your still her ward. But you can try to get and aunt or uncle to come get you. Or if you are serious about this all Call child protective agency and have them come talk to you at school. You don't wanna run away that will not have a good outcome in life.

I was in the same situation. First you need to try to talk 2 her and let her know your feelings maybe she doesnt realize it. If that doesnt work try staying with your dad or a relative, and if that doesnt work call child protective services b/c she is abusing you physically and emotionally. Good Luck

Seek Counseling, you will never be able to fix anything by running away. I had the same problem growing up and my only answer was to runaway but it made things worst until we sat down with a counselor we were able to make amends.
