Nexxus has a great line of products, however they are expensive. They have luxury moisturizing shampoos and conditioners that can even be used as a leave-in conditioner.
If you are on a budget then the next best thing is Pantene. They have a great line call "Ice Shine" that works wonders. Their products are more on the 5$ price range.

I was told by a hair stylist that Pantene is horrible for the hair. It causes build up. They suggested the Suave line of shampoo and conditioners as one of the best shampoo and conditioners to use/

There is no best shampoo as it depends on your hair type and condition of dryness, frizziness or oiliness. In general, you can use a mild shampoo if you wash your hair daily/frequently. Followed by a rinse-off conditioner. If you have dyed hair or treated with rebonding/straightening/curling/perming, use a better quality shampoo to take care of it.

Pantene, moisture renewal to AWESOME. I actually use the off brand/Target brand of this shampoo and the real deal conditioner
Herbal essences is good, but i would suggest only for "normal" hair.
Top-of-the-line-
AVEDA products are awesome. They are some of the more expeensive produts out there, but i am telling you. They are quality, they work and they smell so so so so so good.
