My mother-in-law is great. But then again, I think I'm the son they've always wanted. They have two boys, but both are lazy jacka**es that still have mom and dad pay for everything. They never lift a finger to help and think their parents owe them everything.

I want my mother and father-in-law to come over whenever they want to see their grandson and not buy him anything (she always brings him stuff). She works 12 hour days 360 days a year (yes, she only takes a few days off in an entire year) and still has time to cook, clean and do the laundry.

She's an amazing woman and deserves a lot more than she has. Can't wait till she retires because she's earned it.

I adore my mother in law! She is a wonderful, kind, and loving woman. We didn't get along at first...it was the typical "losing a son" scenario for her but it's been 11 years and I think she realizes I am here for good...besides, who else would clean her house for her when she is sick?

My boyfriend and I have been together for over 3 years and engaged so I consider his family to be my in-laws already. His mother is so fake and is so annoying to be around. I want to smack her sometimes. She also needs to mind her own business regarding some of our wedding plans...I could care less about her input on flowers but she needs to keep her mouth shut when it comes to my beliefs. His dad is cool, doesn't talk much but is cool.

I believe when your husband has a good chance of a good job you should go with him on that job,if you love him and wont to make your marriage work (go with your mate)

Let's put it this way: when my ex-husband's mother dies, I will not cry, I will throw the biggest bash the world has ever seen. My deceased fiance's mother, now there is a woman whom I love, she is wonderful.

Love mine. She's very sweet and shy and most of the time, I don't know what to talk about with her. I'm just glad and thankful to God that she's not one of those MIL from hell, if you know what I mean.

there's not a general rule, for instance I know a very cool and funny mother in law, and another who is the devil reincarnated in human form.
