Everyone, I mean everyone, has a different opinion on what God is, what their scripture means, who or who is not going to this or that heaven or hell. There is no consenses what-so-ever! Caholic Popes disagree with previous Popes, Christian faiths are so diversified they reek, Muslims are just as crazy as Christians. It's no wonder to me there's hate in this world just look at the mess religion has brought us. If there is a God that is real, from any religion I don't care which one, why oh why doesn't he put a stop to the madness before humanity destroys itself? Religion is not going to save the world or save your soul, so you'd better wake up and save your own @ss!

Well said. It's about time we stopped putting faith in some allmighty know-it-all who's evidently been dead for the past 400 years or so...And wake up and start putting a little faith in each other!

Come on people, you're all so keen to get to Heaven, to escape Samsara, or end this life so you can go onto whatever amazing eternal life there is, that you forget to actually live this one.

This world is practically dying. And instead of trying to save it, people are too busy praying to the heavens for a quick release from this hell-whole right here.

Well heaven is here to ya know! You just gotta look a little harder to find it.

Religions were made up by man. A follower of Jesus Christ and His teachings is a true Christian though - also having the Holy Spirit within us, that bears witness of the Truth - Jesus - that is what makes a true Christian. It is a relationship - not religion. That is what God wants - a relationship with us - that can only be done by accepting His Son and living for Jesus. Blessings.

Christians, Atheist is a form of religion. faith is a conception. all human beings can believe about something. for any causes it helps them to stay alive of their present day situation. at the same time as each human beings is unique, no human being can completely agree about conception, even those with similar religions. we may be able to purely agree about the actuality. and actuality isn't quite a lot conception hence its no longer about faith. that's in reality technological knowledge. and that's way above our actual concepts administration.

The thing you have to realize is that someone IS right. I always knew there was a God, I've prayed to him my whole life, and he has answered my prayers and revealed himself to me. The problem with most people, including most Christians, is that to them it IS about religion, and not about having a relationship with their creator. The word Christian simply means "Christ Like" a goal which true Christians strive to become. You are right, religion cannot save you, only Jesus can.

It has been well said that "religion" is man’s way of trying to deal with his guilt. Different religions have different ways of attempting to rid their adherents of sin and its consequences. They fast, pray, deny themselves legitimate pleasures, or chasten themselves, often to a point of inflicting pain. They do this because they have a concept of what they think God (or "the gods") is like, so they seek to establish their own righteousness, being "ignorant of God’s righteousness." The Good News of the Christian faith is that no one need suffer the pains of religious works. Christ’s blood can cleanse our conscience from the "dead works" of religion (Hebrews 9:14). Jesus took our punishment upon Himself, and He is the only One who can save us from sin and death. See Acts 4:12 and John 14:6.

I work with a local charity that is headed up by a Wiccan priestess, and whose board of directors includes a Methodist pastor, a Catholic priest, a Muslim imam, and a voodoo houngan. Religions aside, they all agree that making sure the homeless and needy are warm and fed is of the utmost importance.

Perhaps we should all agree to follow some form of 'Spiritual Humanism', which would simply be the belief that we ought to be able to believe whatever we want, so long as we focus on bringing good to humanity, and we do not force our views on others. Humanism really isn't such a bad idea, you know....

No. The intelligent people will never see eye to eye w/ the less intelligent ones. How can they?
The first step in removing one's ignorance,is to admit they are ignorant. Because they are unwilling to do that;--they remain ignorant.
No honest, intelligent person could ever read the Bible just as it is written, and walk away believing it to be anything more than a very amateurish fairy tale.

The three monotheistic faiths all believe in one supreme Being, God.Regardless of what God is called in arabic and hebrew. And to save your own butt you must first follow the commands of God. So many believe that this is it, this life. But really the best or worst is after we die. I just hope I get my book of deeds handed to me in my right hand.

I believe the one thing they can all agree on, is that we need their guidance to live "good" lives and to prosper in the supposed afterlife/reincarnation.

I suppose without their divine guidance, humans would just be stealing, killing and hating each other. Thank God none of THAT is going on.
