John Carper has a series of videos "Shaping 101" and "Glassing 101". He is a highly respected shaper, and his videos really help clear a lot of things up. I wish I had seen them before I started shaping. Still, you should do ur first few with an expert, bc there is so much to get right (get perfect) to make a good board.

Not sure where you live but I know that Cal Poly offers a class in shaping. Also, I live here in SC and a friend of mine went up to Wrightsville Beach to take a class in shaping at a local surf shop. Hopefully this helps.
