No, hair loss is a genetic trait. You either have the male pattern baldness from your Mothers side, or you dont.

Barring accidents, (like acid burns or something like that), a man with a full head of hair will "thin out" when he is older, but, should keep a good head about his shoulders otherwise...

But, if the gene is "there", then there isnt a thing you can do about it...

I wish you well...

Yes it does. Wearing a hat does many things which contribute to hair loss; hair needs air, wearing a hat flattens hair folicules (or forces them to go in a direction which is not normal) and damages their normal growth pattern. Your best bet - don't worry about looking cool - just don't wear a hat and if you must then just wear a stocking cap (in the winter time).

I think the guys with the balding heads wear their hats because of the hair loss- not because it causes it. One hat = one covered up shiny head!

Yes. If you are already losing hair, stop wearing hats to cover up your hair loss, it will just make it worse!

Depending on the material, some hats can pull hair out if they are worn persistently over a long period of time.

i imagine it would want to help damage off the hair. Like adult males who artwork outdoors and positioned on denims can from time to time positioned on a patch of hair off the thighs from the denims rubbing the hair and breaking it off. i imagine that is alright to positioned on hats once in a while if you're nerve-racking about hair loss.
