I'm going to Rome and Naples and was just wondering if I was going to be taller than most of the guys even, seeing as I'm 5'10". lol

Depends....
In the North men are quite tall averaging around 5'10". I myself am 6'6".
In the South though they can be quite short. Not sure what the average is though.
Either way, you are a hot tall girl, so enjoy that. I am sure you will get lots of attention.

In Tuscany young men (18-24) are tall. I'm 28 and 6 foot tall (183cm) and where I live (Volterra) I fall within the average male height, with few young men taller than me (about an inch, so 6 1' / 185cm), and few shorter (roughly I'd say around 5 11' which is 180cm). Believe it or not there's plenty of them around 6 3' (190.5) or so.
If I move to the coast close to Donoratico, people are even taller. I swear.
I don't know though about other regions of Italy, but I guess average height has been concurrently increased pretty much everywhere in the past two decades, with regions such as Trentino, Friuli and Veneto that are still the tallest ones.
Considering the others countries I can tell most of the info available online are incorrect or refer to only a portion of it since I lived abroad for years in countries such as Australia, the Netherlands and England where young men are both taller that what is shown on the web. Most of the young men were about my eight, while in the Netherlands I felt kind of like a midget...just kidding...but male were much taller than me (I'd say around 6 1.5' - 6 2'). So, to end up my consideration regarding the average male height on young subjects, I think it must be obvious that the estimates are referring to only a part of the population and maybe in twenty years or so it will pup up that average height has been increased of a couple of inches or more, when the truth is that if it would be measured more specifically, then it would show up that the real young average male height is already underestimated.
What do anyone else think about it? :)

I went to Italy a few summers back and I am the same height as you. I went to Rome, Florence, and Venice (sorry, not Naples). I didn't notice that the men were that much shorter than me, most seemed to be as tall and some even taller. However, I didn't see many tall Italian women.
Italy is a beautiful place, the people are friendly and there is art everywhere. You are going to love it!

When I went I didn't notice that big of a height difference. I went to Rome but didn't get to go to Naples. It is a fantastic city, one of my favorite places in the world. You are going to have a blast!

People is taller in north and shorter in south Italy. And young people is taller than older people.
I live in Milan (north Italy) and I am 5'9". All my girl friends are shorter then me, in fact average height for a young woman in north Italy is 5'5"-5'7". For a young man 5'9"-5'11".
So probably you are going to be taller than almost all girls you will met, and taller than many guys.
But this doesn't mean in Italy there aren't tall men at all. My husband for example is 6'6", so I'm sure you'll met also guys taller than you ;-)

Im not sure but Im going to Italy and pondered that myself and I am 5'7 so maybe there will be some the same height as me. I do however know some southern italian guys who are 6 foot tall .... so it varies...

Is this one the only one concern you have about Italians ??
Don't come here then since you'll find surprising how bad all of us we are ...!!! Yours it's really a dumb question and I shouldn't have wasted my time in answering.
However now I'm on the way and then you should know that, in spite of your concern you'll be taller than most of us, we have something hided that's long enough to reach you even if you keep standing up. Just in case you can lying down (that I prefer).
