the presentation of that does sound a bit harsh. More so with a boss. It would be best to reword your idea or thought as a question so your boss thinks that it was his idea. as long as you know who's idea it was your all good the world don't really care that it was your idea only you so no need to broadcast that. hope my example helps you!

Yes. it is enforcing a point before saying what the point is.
I tend to ignore everything after the word look as i have not been asked to listen.
