Is there a trick to use the treadmill without the key? The model I use is a proform 380i and the key is just a plastic not magnetic

Here's what I did...
I got a small rectangular piece of thin cardboard (like from a cereal box) measure the slot or do some "test runs" and I got a piece and folded it in half so the bend is at the top then i tied a 2-3 foot string around it and tied it at the bottom (opposite the side where the fold is). Then I took a bit of clear packing tape and taped around it a bit the keep the string on. Then finally I tied a large paperclip to the other end of the string and I clip it to my sweats waistband.
If all goes well the thickness and size should keep the pressure in the slot and get you moving again!

My brother used a ruler once. Another time he used a paint stick from Home Depot.

Contact the manufacturer and ask for a new key.

call the company, i bet on their website there is an 800 number they maybe able to replace it for you
