The price of sugar cane has doubled in 18 months. The price of corn is rising fast. Both are producing higher prices in the shops whilst taking food out of the market!
At present there is not a single renewable energy source that can be scaled up to a useful degree without causing more significant problems for the world. Corn and sugar cane are causing more afforestation. The corn taken to produce one tank of fuel would feed a person for a whole year.
But do not despair. This is a time of learning and good scientific research - the answers are out there and we are getting closer.

Include oil ,gas and coal the earth has been recycling them for several million years, how do u think they got there in the first place.
