if you only brush once a day, better at night. That way the sugar can't attack your teeth for eight hours while you sleep. Eating and drinking during the day disrupt the decaying process. Twice a day is recommended, but if you're only going to do it once, i'd say at night time.

After you wake in the morning. Bacteria lies dormant in the mouth throughout the night as we sleep, which is why we have bad breath in the morning. Brushing beforehand will do little to fight that bacteria. Brush in the morning kills the bacteria from the nighttime sleep. Then as you eat, the saliva in your mouth aids food to rid of the bacteria throughout the day.

I would brush at night because bacteria is more likely to be promoted when you are eating.

If you go to bed with already high levels of bacteria in your mouth (if you were only to brush in the morning), they will multiply even more during the night.

So I think brushing them at night is best.

I think first thing in the morning because bacteria has accumulated in your mouth during the night.

I'd think after you woke up because you always have morning breath. Yuck! So, I'd want to do it in the morning if I had to.
