well, try to brush it with a special brush that releases ions from the brush part. I think it's made from conair, but I'm not sure. I know what you mean about the knots, I have the exact kind of hair too. You can get that brush probably at walgreens. That's where I got mine. It acually works! Um........ use a defrizz shampoo and conditioner. Put the conditioner mostly where the knots are. If that doesn't work, use olive oil and leave it in your hair for about 30 min. While those 30 min put a plastic bag around your hair to keep the oil in. And if THAT doesn't work, then use a deep conditioner and do the plastic bag trick. Trust me it worked for me. Use the deep conditioner and the regular conditioner as well. Hopefully my advice will work. GOOD LUCK!!

i have no cats, yet I do have 4 childrens. when we get knots, we use Johnson and Johnson spray detangler. i might want to ask a groomer and spot if which will be probability-free for cats because they do lick their fur, yet i'll't imagine of something else to apply. I truly have heard of making use of vegetable oil on cats in the journey that they are getting hairballs, yet for mats, i do not recognize for constructive. call a professional and ask them so that you do not do something that is going to harm your cat yet, if the detangler is effective for little ones, then...

you can use baby oil, just a few drops not too much, put the drops in your hand rub them and use your fingers to put it in your hair, that can keep it smooth and shiny, and smelling great, and is not expensive, if you can buy one from a beauty shop, they have brand name oils exclusive for hair, but some times their expensive, i have long curly hair but when i straight my hair i get a lot of tangles i have to keep brushing it, and the baby oil help a lot.
